The Metal Construction Association (MCA) proudly recognizes its member companies for their contributions to innovative and exceptional building projects that showcase the versatility of metal. Competing across various categories — including creative use of metal, innovative use of onsite roll formers, insulated metal panels (IMPs), solar integration, metal composite materials (MCMs), renovation and retrofit projects, metal roofing, pre-engineered metal buildings, and single skin wall panels — the 1st place winners are: 3A Composites, ATAS International, Inc., Kingspan Insulated Panels North America, Metal Sales Manufacturing Corp, Norbec, PAC-CLAD | Petersen, and Sherwin-Williams Coil Coatings. MBMA 2024 STUDENT DESIGN COMPETITION CALL FOR ENTRIES
The Metal Building Manufacturers Association (MBMA) has officially opened its 2024 Student Design Competition for entries. Architecture students are invited to showcase their creativity by designing an innovative metal building for a new campus recreation center and sports complex. Now in its fourth year, the competition continues to expand, introducing students across North America to the possibilities of metal building systems. Six prizes will be awarded, and there is no fee to enter. Students must have a faculty sponsor and may participate individually or as a team. Registration is available on the MBMA website, with submissions due by January 6. Prizes will be awarded in both graduate and undergraduate divisions.
