WOMEN IN CONSTRUCTION
Last week marked the 25th annual Women In Construction Week (WIC Week™), sponsored by the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC). This year’s theme, ‘Many Paths, One Mission’, celebrated the different journeys women have taken toward the same goal: strengthening and amplifying the success of women in the construction industry. Last week, chapters from all over honored, revered, and recognized the important contributions women are making in the industry to continue to raise awareness of the challenges some women face in hopes of evoking change. In celebration of this week, Construction Dive issued their list of “Construction Champions 2023” honoring 31 women (out of over 400 submissions) who stand out as examples of how intuition, dedication and intelligence are helping to shape the industry.

METALCON has been named as a “show to watch” in their “Next 50” award category, recognized for the increased number of exhibiting companies and total attendance between the 2021 and 2022 shows and will be honored at this year’s Trade Show Executive’s Fastest 50 Awards and Summit in May.
