Stand Out with Roofing Certifications: Build Credibility and Grow at METALCON

In today’s competitive market, roofing contractors need more than skill and experience to win projects — they need credentials that back up their expertise. Certifications not only prove technical knowledge but also build trust with clients, specifiers, and building owners who want assurance that their project is in qualified hands.

That’s where METALCON comes in. As the only global event dedicated exclusively to the application of metal in design and construction, METALCON offers roofing professionals unique opportunities to earn certifications, gain continuing education credits, and sharpen their edge in the field.

Why Certifications Matter in Roofing

There’s a growing importance of credentials in today’s roofing industry. A certified roofing contractor stands out in several key ways:

  • Credibility with clients: Homeowners and developers see certification as proof of reliability and workmanship.
  • Industry recognition: Credentials position you as a leader committed to best practices and safety.
  • Professional growth: Certifications expand your knowledge, keeping you current on evolving codes, materials, and techniques.
  • Competitive advantage: When competing for projects, certifications can be the deciding factor that sets you apart.

Hands on training at METALCON’s Exclusive Training Zone on the show floor!

Located in the Exhibit Hall, this hands-on training area features demonstrations and education using a variety of mock-ups and materials including painted steel, aluminum, zinc, copper and other exotic materials. Training will focus on proper detailing and utilization of the right tools to enhance the skills of contractors, remodelers and others, enabling them to deliver their best, most efficient and cleanest work when installing various metal roof offerings and systems.

Led by John Sheridan of Sheridan Metal Resources and his team of experts, demonstrations will be offered in English and Spanish and tools will be available for audience testing and purchase.

MCA’s Metal Mastery Clinics

As metal continues to gain market share, it’s essential for contractors and installers to master the techniques that ensure long-lasting, high-performing roofing systems. Metal Mastery Clinics are designed to sharpen those skills, focusing on proper panel forming, installation practices, and the finer details that boost contractor efficiency and deliver greater satisfaction for building owners. Led by experts from the Metal Construction Association (MCA) and the Metal Roofing Alliance (MRA), these clinics cover best practices for installing metal shingles, standing-seam panels, and retrofit systems, along with live demonstrations of on-site rollforming and machine maintenance.
