METALCON 2024 RECAP: RECORD CROWDS, NEW EXPERIENCES, AND ATLANTA’S SOUTHERN CHARM After a decade-long hiatus, Atlanta’s southern charm ushered in one of the most successful and highly attended METALCON events in the show’s 34-year history. For 3 action-packed days the exhibit hall buzzed with activity, featuring over 250 exhibitors, inspiring Keynote and Kick-Off Sessions — including a standing-room-only address by NFL Hall of Fame legend Joe Theissman — and more than 35 education sessions and immersive workshops. A major highlight this year was the expansion of networking opportunities from Speed Networking and Global Matchmaking to a lively Welcome Night Party and a new “Backyard” area on the show floor, which hosted a reception and Hall of Fame ceremony. The Architect’s Experience, rebranded as “The Design District at METALCON,” once again proved to be a hub for architects, specifiers, and designers, spotlighting the innovative uses and benefits of metal in design. Attendees also enjoyed hands-on learning at the new Metal Mastery, with daily demos and clinics led by industry experts, while the Training Zone returned for a second year, giving participants an interactive space to sharpen their skills. Beyond the convention center, attendees embraced Atlanta’s vibrant attractions and dining scene, soaking in the city’s renowned hospitality. METALCON 2024 reaffirmed its place as the metal industry’s premier event, offering an unmatched experience for everyone in the world of metal! READ THE RECAP PRESS RELEASE → |

METAL COMMUNITY MAKES IMPACT ON ATLANTA AREA VETERANS METALCON proudly donated a resounding $5,000 to Semper Fi & America’s Fund (The Fund), a non-profit organization dedicated to helping veterans in all branches of the military. The Fund exists to direct urgently needed resources and financial support to critically wounded, ill, and injured members of the U.S. Armed Forces alongside their families. A poignant moment came on Friday morning when veteran Corporal Tony Mullis, U.S. Marine Corps (Ret.) and his wife, made a special appearance at the check presentation ceremony. As a ‘graduate’ of The Fund’s Apprenticeship Program, Corporal Mullis’ presence highlighted the real impact of the support provided by METALCON’s generous donation. Throughout the three days, daily raffles offered attendees the chance to win exciting prizes in exchange for their contributions to this noble cause. METALCON’s commitment to giving back not only amplifies the camaraderie and generosity of the metal industry, but also leaves a lasting positive impact on the lives of those who have bravely served our nation.
