Live Demos & Hands-On Training

At METALCON 2024, it’s not just about looking at new products; it’s about getting hands-on. Don’t miss the live demonstrations of metalworking techniques, including cutting, bending, and fastening. Engage in interactive sessions to sharpen your skills and test out tools and equipment on the spot.

The new MCA’s Metal Mastery, sponsored by the Metal Construction Association, will feature a series of demos with presenters from the Metal Construction Association and Metal Roofing Alliance. Sessions will cover industry best practices for the installation of metal shingles, standing-seam roofing panels, retrofit systems, and will demonstrate proper techniques for on-site rollforming and machine maintenance. Located on the show floor, these sessions and demos are included with your registration.

METALCON 2023 Training Zone

This hands-on training area will feature demonstrations and education using a variety of mock-ups and materials including painted steel, aluminum, zinc, copper, and other exotic materials.

Led by John Sheridan of Sheridan Metal Resources and his team of experts, the training will focus on proper detailing and utilization of the right tools to enhance the skills of contractors, remodelers, and others to deliver your best, most efficient, and cleanest work when installing various metal roof offerings and systems.

The Traning Zone sponsored by Sherwin Williams is also made possible by the support of Drexel Metals, Malco Tools, Roofinox, Helix Metalforming, Diamond Steel, VanMark, Dri-Design, Hamburger Roofing, and Vestis Mazzonetto for providing the materials.
