Hands-On Training, “Metal and Mimosas,” and an Exclusive Off-Site Metal Panel Plant Tour

In two short months, the metal design and construction community will return to Las Vegas for three-plus days of immersive pre-show metal workshops, inspiring keynotes, free credit-earning educational sessions, and an exhibit hall brimming with new and innovative products. Celebrating over 30 years, METALCON continues to be the only global event dedicated exclusively to the application of metal in design and construction. This year, three new special events have been introduced including a “hands-on” METALCON Training Zone sponsored by Sherwin-Williams, a unique networking opportunity for women of metal construction called “Metal and Mimosas sponsored by ATAS International, CIDAN Machinery, MetalCoffeeShop, the MRA (Metal Roofing Alliance), and METALCON, and an exclusive off-site Metl-Span Plant Tour, hosted by Metl-Span, a Nucor® company.

Get “Hands-on Training” at the New METALCON Training Zone (Booth #6071)

New this year and sponsored by Sherwin-Williams, the METALCON Training Zone provides a hands-on demonstration and training area for contractors, remodelers, and others. Sharpen your skills and learn how to deliver your best, most efficient, and cleanest work when installing various metal roof offerings and systems. Featuring a variety of mock-ups and materials including aluminum, copper, painted steel zinc, and even some exotic materials, training will focus on proper detailing and utilization of the right tools (offered in both English and Spanish). Visit Booth #6071 in the Exhibit Hall during show hours for daily demonstrations and training times.

Women of Metal are Invited to “Metal and Mimosas”

Women of metal construction are invited to join their peers for a morning filled with the perfect blend of breakfast, networking, and discussion. Head to the ENVY at the Renaissance Hotel (located across the street from the convention center) on Wednesday morning, October 18, before METALCON officially opens. Gather alongside inspiring women and listen and learn how they are shaping the industry. “Metal and Mimosas” is sponsored by ATAS International, CIDAN Machinery, MetalCoffeeShop, the MRA (Metal Roofing Alliance), and METALCON. Register for the Metl-Span Las Vegas Plant Tour

Metl-Span, a Nucor® company, invites general contractors, installers, and architects to an exclusive plant tour at its Las Vegas facility. See first-hand how IMPs are made by this leading North American manufacturer on Thursday, Oct. 19 from 8:00-10:30 a.m. (transportation provided). This exclusive experience includes breakfast, networking, a plant tour, and an education session titled “Designing with Commercial/Industrial Insulated Metal Wall Panels” presented by industry expert Kira Rogatnik (earn 1 AIA HSW credit).
