METALCON ONLINE! AND THE MCA PRESENT: THE ART OF METAL WALL PANELSNext Wednesday, April 19, join Tony Sauve from Petersen Aluminum, as they examine the key starting points for designers in selecting, designing, and detailing metal wall panels – both corrugated and concealed attachment systems. This course will also examine the field examples of these wall panel systems, “dos and don’ts” of these specific applications, and how they affect environmental efficiency, project sustainability, and product performance. MCA CELEBRATES 40 YEARSThe Metal Construction Association kicked off their 40th anniversary year with a celebration at the Winter Meeting held in January in Clearwater, Florida. This month’s issue of Metal Construction News includes a special feature on the association’s 40 years including interviews with six industry icons, a look at the new “MCA Future Leaders Program” and “Where Will the Metal Construction Industry Be in 10 Years,” and also includes a list of the Bush and Swaney Award Winners, and a list of current MCA Members. Since its formation in 1983, MCA has focused on one key strategy – to promote the use of metal in the building envelope through marketing, education, and action on public policies that affect metal’s use. LEARN MORE →
METAL ARCHITECTURE DESIGN AWARDS 2023: DEADLINE TO SUBMIT IS THIS FRIDAY
The 2023 Metal Architecture Design Awards deadline is fast approaching. Every year, the judges select a Grand Award Winner as well as winners in these categories: Metal Roofing, Ribbed Metal Wall Panels, Smooth Metal Wall Panels, Metal Buildings, Interiors, Renovations and Retrofits , Natural Metals, and Sustainable Design. NEW TRANSPORTATION AT THE LAS VEGAS CONVENTION CENTERThe “Vegas Loop” at the Las Vegas Convention Center provides a new fast and convenient transportation for convention attendees across the LVCC campus. Typical walk times from hall to hall can be up to 25 minutes — the same trip on the Loop takes 2-4 minutes! Passengers load into TESLA vehicles capable of holding three people (future vehicles will hold up to 12 people). METALCON will take place in the South Hall so depending on which hotel you are staying in, save time by accessing the Loop at either the West or Central Station and ride it to the South Station. Rides within the Convention Center campus are free for attendees (show your badge) with rides between Resorts World and the Center costing $4.50 for a day pass.  LEARN MORE →

METALCON Announces Top Products Award Winners

(Newton, Mass., – Nov.12, 2024)—Exhibitors at the only global event dedicated exclusively to the application of metal in design and construction were invited to nominate their standout products for the prestigious METALCON Top Products Award.
