Barndominiums: Solutions for Modern Problems, Inspired by Historic Design
Barndominiums: Solutions for Modern Problems, Inspired by Historic Design

Join Stacee Lynn – The Barndominium Lady® – and Oliver Bell as they delve into the evolution of barn design, now known as Barndominiums.  These bold, clear span structures have revolutionized the market by merging proven commercial steel construction techniques with high end, luxury residential design.  This trend offers homeowners new ways to perceive and utilize spaces, focusing on multi-generational / extended family living, family compounds, and functional spaces.

Barndominiums, whether steel or wood-framed, are often characterized by oversized great rooms with high vaulted ceilings, larger bedrooms, flex rooms, hidden rooms, and unique multipurpose rooms. Coupled with exceptional outdoor living and entertainment options tailored for family comfort and functionality, Barndominiums may just be the perfect home solution.  The Barndominium not only represents a design style, it represents a lifestyle.

These designs cater to a family’s practical needs for space, sustainability, and technology utilization.  Stacee Lynn and Oliver will share various products and strategies that can aid in your residential projects, demonstrating how incorporating Barndominium design aspects can address common industry challenges.

Learning Objectives:

  • Discover the current trends in barndominium designs.
  • Find out the sustainability aspects of barndominium designs.
  • Get tips and tricks from leading barndominium designers.

Stacee Lynn – The Barndominium Lady®

Chief Design Officer, The Barndominium Company

Stacee Lynn – The Barndominium Lady® – has turned her passion for design, construction, décor, and relaxed living into a business. She is the Chief Design Officer & Social Media Leader for The Barndominium CompanyTM. She is at the forefront of the steel and post frame Barndo design world and is recognized as the premier Barndominium floor plan designer in the country. Stacee has clients in over 40 states with 30% based in Texas. Stacee Lynn is self-taught in building design, interior design, and general contracting. She has carved out a new niche in the male dominated industry of steel and post frame design and construction by addressing the void in the “steel and post frame residential design function” adding a much-needed design savvy and a luxury point of view. Most existing designers in this space are designing shops and workspaces not luxury residences. Stacee Lynn intentionally designs metal and post frame buildings as luxury residences and has the vision, experience, and personal presence to make every project a success. Stacee has been featured in Texas Monthly Magazine, Texas CEO Magazine, Metropolitan Magazine, in several blogs and regional magazines, and on several Houston area television affiliates.
