This course is focused on considerations when choosing the right standing seam metal roof system for your project, practical installation techniques and overall best practices. We will cover proper material choices based on geographic location, slope limitations of panel profiles, choosing applicable accessories to include underlayment, sealant, fastener types, clips, types & proper spacing requirements. We will discuss and show how to layout panels when dealing with roof protrusions. Finally, we will cover practical installation techniques for typical perimeter detailing such as eave, rake, valley, peak, and common rooftop penetrations such as pipes and skylights.

David Stubbs currently operates as the Assistant Technical Director for Sheffield Metals International. Dave brings over 30 years of standing seam metal roofing experience and technical installation knowledge to his current role, where he focuses on overseeing the Weathertight Warranty Department within Sheffield Metals. He is also actively involved with the Colorado Roofing Association as the Lead Metal Installation Instructor. Prior to working at Sheffield Metals, Dave was a Senior Project Manager for a large commercial contractor.

Jason has lived in the Denver area for over 49 years. He Graduated from Heritage High School in Littleton, CO, attended Metro State College, and entered the construction industry in 1993. Jason has 30 years of roof and wall system knowledge in both commercial and residential buildings. After having installed metal roof and wall systems for 12 years, and project managed for 14 years, he transitioned over to manufacturing and has spent the last 4 years assisting customers in the Technical Department for Sheffield Metals International.

Andy Lesmeister currently serves as a Weathertight Warranty Inspector for Sheffield Metals International. Andy brings over 32 years of standing steam metal roofing experience and technical installation knowledge to his current role. In the 32 years of being in the metal industry, Andy worked his way up from a helper, to foreman, to superintendent, to estimator and has a wide spectrum of knowledge the most metal panel systems.
