Conference Programs
METALCON continues to offer new and innovative features in each area of the event. New topics are consistently added to the education program while the popular basics return to serve the needs of those new to the industry.
The track of green building topics will expand again this year to serve the growing interest in metal’s
key role in improving energy-efficiency in the building envelope.
The business management program, which received record attendance
again, last year, will offer additional topics.
In addition, the 2009 conference features an expanded program about
metal roofing and wall applications, sessions on new techniques,
retrofit, metal interiors and effective rainscreen techniques.
Codes, insulation, fasteners, steel framing and onsite and factory fabrication are the focus of several Special Programs, which are offered by various industry groups, including: The Aluminum Association; Copper Development Association, Inc.; Fabricators and Manufacturers Association International; The Metal Initiative; The Metal Roofing Alliance; Reflective Insulation Manufacturers Association; Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors National Association; Steel Framing Alliance; and the U.S. Green Building Council.
